One Year of the Raven's Writing Desk
+ Find Out How to Win One of My Favourite Books of the Year!
One Year On
One year ago today I released the first article from the Raven’s Writing Desk, to this date it’s my least-read article sitting at nineteen views, but it was a start. Since then I’ve taken over two other newsletters, written multiple articles for other organisations, worked with authors and publishers on book releases, and published a good number of article series—some of which are still ongoing.
Whether you made your way here because of a book review, a desire to learn how to get more out of what you read, or because you want to get to know your bible better, thank you so much for sticking around. Every view, like, and comment helps more than you could possibly know.
To celebrate, I’m giving away one of my favourite books of the year, but first, here are some of my most popular articles, as well as some which mean a lot to me personally. Whether you’re a brand new reader, or you’ve been here since the beginning, thank you for everything.
Giveaway
To celebrate one year of the Raven’s Writing Desk, I wanted to do something to show how thankful I am to all of you who have read these articles, enjoyed them, and supported this newsletter by doing so.
To that end, I’ve bought two books, the first of which I’ll be giving away in this newsletter, and another which I’ll talk about later on in the month. This first giveaway is one of my favourite books of the year so far, and the one I recommend more than any other, Rembrandt is in the Wind by Russ Ramsey.1
If you want to know why you should pick this book up for yourself, or enter this competition, you can check out my review here:
The reviews end by saying:
“I’ve been writing long enough now to know that everything I write is intended to worship God, but that I’m going to do that imperfectly until the day I die. Hearing the stories of these artists helped me to wrestle with that.
I’m thankful for this book. I’m thankful for Russ Ramsey.”
