"Drink enough to see straight" love it! Tis certainly a sobering sight that image of the church, does show in the realest sense the spiritual warfare we come up against as we pursue God, thanks for highlighting this, is very important to be ever aware!
I couldn't agree more. The closer we are to God, the more the enemy seeks to tear us back down, thankfully, "we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed" (2 Cor 4:7-9)

Your theological giants are my heroes. Thanks for writing.
You are most welcome. I’m glad to hear it, they are such an encouragement to me too.
Gosh, that church with the brothel is heartbreaking. What a good reminder to examine our own churches and hearts.
It really is, it really makes you think doesn't it?!
Very interesting article.
